AWP-24 Wave Height Gauge and Probe
 

The AWP-24 Capacitance Wave Height Gauge is a reliable and robust instrument for the measurement of wave heights and water levels. It is the first wave height gauge product on the market to use purely digital techniques to measure capacitance and with no discharge in water.

Akamina's Wave Height Gauge is comprised of two components: the AWP-24 Capacitance Wave Height Gauge and the Wave Probe Head.

The AWP-24 comes in a rugged die-cast aluminum alloy weatherproof enclosure that allows it to be deployed indoors or outdoors where high accuracy water level measurements are required. The device is easily configured using only a digital volt meter or a data acquisition system.The Wave Height Gauge provides an accurate, highly responsive measure of depth changes from sub-millimeter to meters. Akamina's Wave Probe Head is manufactured from marine-grade stainless steel and comes with a custom designed clamp.

The output stage of the AWP-24 includes a 16-bit digital-to-analogue converter. This provides a high-level +/- 5 volt analogue output signal that can be sampled using conventional data acquisition systems.
