Project Description:

The capability to sense incoming waves and actively absorb them was the significant deliverable in this project. The test set up included a wave flume with wave generators at each end. The measured resuls from the wave absorbing controller were significantly superior to other controllers.

Deliverables:

• A control system capable of active wave absorption
• Results from a series of tests that validated the controller performance while in absorption-only mode as well as simultaneous generation and absorption
